Security threats are everywhere, and if your company has access to sensitive client information you probably face them on a daily basis. While it might be impossible to prepare for every possible threat your business may face, there are some basic rules you can follow to help keep your office, employees and client data safe.
Entrepreneur magazine published an article by personal security, privacy and identity theft expert Robert Siciliano, who explained that business owners can’t simple zoom in on a few particular security threats, they need to look at the big picture.
You can’t simply think about how to protect your data from hackers, you also need to consider how to keep your physical data centers and office safe from intruders.
Siciliano also said that you should prepare your staff for what to do in light of a security breach. Create a team of trusted employees who can lead the rest in the event of a major breach.
