You would probably be offended if someone called you redundant, but in security, redundancy is a good thing.

A report issued by Verizon's RISK team indicated that physical data theft accounted for 35 percent of all instances of data breaches in 2013. Often, this is caused by weak or stolen access codes, which can be used to gain access to data centers and other high value areas. In these cases, redundancy is the best defense.

The more walls you place between a potential thief and your valuable data, the safer it is. Protect your data center with a redundancy system that integrates fingerprint and RFID scanners, as well as keypads, to get the most out of your security measures.
